About the Terps
Ater two near upsets in California over the Thanksgiving holiday, Maryland is 8-0 for the second-straight year and three of the Terrapins' wins have come against ranked opponents.
Maryland has had at least one player with a double-double in seven of its eight games, posting 11 double-doubles overall. Seniors Laura Harper and Jade Perry, and junior Kristi Toliver have each posted three so far this season. Junior Marissa Coleman had recorded two.
Leading the way offensively for the Terrapins is junior Kristi Toliver, who is averaging a team-best 19.4 points and 8.3 assists per game. Four Terps in all are averaging double-digit scoring.
Posting another double-double at UCLA, Coleman is the team's rebounding leader at 8.1 rpg, followed by Harper and Jade Perry's 8.0 rpg.

The nation's leader in rebounding margin the last two years, Maryland is outrebounding its opponents by +13.5 rpg.
About the Panthers
Pittsburgh is 3-1 entering Tuesday's game in College Park. The Panthers' three wins were decided in convincing fashion, defeating Charlotte (85-68), Arizona (81-58) and Mount St. Mary's (82-31) by a 30.3 margin. Their only loss to date was an 80-74 upset at Penn State in the WBCA Classic. Pitt started the season ranked 20th and 21st in the AP and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls, respectively.
In its four games, Pittsburgh has four players averaging double figures, led by Shavonte Zellous' 14.8 points per game. Pitt went 24-9 last season, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers return all five starters from last year, in addition to, 2005-06 All-Big East honoree Mallorie Winn, who redshirted all last season because of an injury. The team was picked to finish fourth in the conference, with Walker and Zeallous earning a spot on the preseason all-conference team.
In her fifth season, Agnus Berenato led the Panthers to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance last season and its first national ranking in the Associated Press poll since 1979. A 1980 graduate of Mount St. Mary's, she also led the team to its best-ever record last year.
SERIES HISTORY: Maryland leads the all-time series, 6-0. The teams met every season from 1977-1982, when the rivalry was ended. Each team had hosted the series three times. Two of the games have been decided by less than seven points, with the 1982 meeting resulting in a 74-72 Maryland win.
