COLLEGE PARK, Md. - In celebration of Maryland women's basketball head coach Brenda Frese's pregnancy, the athletic department has announced three special events in conjunction with the women's basketball program. All three initiatives will take place between now and the end of December, beginning with the World's Largest Baby Shower on Friday, Nov. 30 when the Terrapins host Ohio State for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

    World's Biggest Baby Shower
The first of these events is the "World's Biggest Baby Shower," which is scheduled for the Friday, Nov. 30 game against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the inaugural women's Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The event, which is in honor of Frese and is due to give birth to twins in March, will support the US Marine Corps Toys For Tots program. All fans attending the game are encouraged to donate a new and unused packaged baby toy when they arrive for the game. The toys will be collected in the Comcast Center lobby at the designated marketing table where US Marine Corps representatives will be accepting the donations. The gifts will benefit the Toys for Tots of Washington, D.C.

    Double the Fun in December
Staying true to the twins theme, Maryland will offer a 2-for-1 ticket deal for women's basketball games for the entire month of December. Anyone who purchases a ticket to a December women's basketball game will receive a second ticket absolutely free. The Terps are playing five home games in December, including matchups with NCAA Tournament regulars Middle Tennessee State and Temple.

    Season-Ticket Holder Appreciation Party
All women's basketball season-ticket holders will have a party held in their honor prior to the Terps' Dec. 9 game against the Temple Owls. The party is also open to Family 4-pack ticket owners and will take place from noon-1:30 p.m. The party will include free food, inflatable games, face painting, family pictures with Testudo the mascot and more.

Tickets for all home women's basketball games are available for purchase at the Comcast Center Ticket Office in person or by calling 1-800-IM-A-TERP or by visiting www.umterps.com.
