The Maryland men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 6 in the Face-Off Yearbook preseason top 25, which was release today by Inside Lacrosse.
Maryland, which went 10-6 last season, was ranked No. 7 in last year's Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll. Eight opponents on the Terps' 2008 schedule are ranked among the Top 15, including the other three ACC school's, which are all ranked in the top five.
The Terrapins will take on each of the top five schools and six of the top 10 teams: visting No. 1 Johns Hopkins (April 12), No. 2 Duke (March 1) , No. 4 Georgetown (February 23), and No. 5 North Carolina (March 22), and hosting No. 3 Virginia (March 29) and No. 9 Navy (April 4).
Maryland, which boasts six preseason All-Americans, will be led by 2007 third team All-American Dan Groot and senior attackman Max Ritz, who totaled 49 points in 2007.
