MTSU Makes First-Ever Visit to Comcast Center
• Third-ranked Maryland will host the first of three games this week, taking on Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. It is the Blue Raiders' first-ever trip to College Park and the second-ever meeting between the teams.
• Maryland became the first team in the nation to win 10 games after defeating #19/17 Ohio State in the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Challenge, but suffered its first loss of the season on Monday. Four of Maryland's victories have come against ranked teams, with its only loss coming against a top-five opponent.
• The game is the second of four this week for the Terrapins, who will also be playing their 12th game in 31 days. After this 31-day, 14-game stretch, Maryland will have 11 days before its next game.
• Fans can watch the game on ACC Select with a purchase of a subscription. The audio can be heard on Maryland All-Access. Links to audio and video will be available at www.umterps.com.

About the Terps
• After becoming the first team in the nation to win 10 games, Maryland suffered its first loss of the season. The Terps have registered four wins over ranked teams, to date.
• Maryland has had at least one player with a double-double in nine of its 11 games, posting 13 double-doubles overall. Seniors Laura Harper and Jade Perry, and juniors Kristi Toliver and Marissa Coleman have each posted three so far this season. Making a return to the starting lineup against UCLA, Crystal Langhorne had her first double-double of the season in the win over Pittsburgh.
• Leading the way offensively for the Terrapins is junior Kristi Toliver, who is averaging a team-best 18.1 points and 7.9 assists per game. Five Terps, in all, are averaging double-digit scoring.
• Coleman is grabbing a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game, with Harper not far behind, averaging 7.7 rpg. Four Terps in all are averaging at least 6.5 rpg.
• Maryland has been lethal from three-point range, twice tying the school record for threes in a game. The Terps knocked down 12 treys in the wins over Notre Dame and Loyola, while shooting 44.5 percent from that range on the season. Entering the week, the Terps led the nation shooting 46.7 percent from the three-point line.
• The nation's leader in rebounding margin the last two years, Maryland has outrebounding its opponents by +11.1 rpg.

About the Blue Raiders
• Middle Tennessee State comes into Wednesday's game with a 3-3 record, suffering losses in its last two games. The Blue Raiders snapped a three-game winning streak, losing at Chattanooga (57-54) and Western Carolina (77-71). All three of their losses have been by less than 10 points.
• Four of MTSU's games this season have been on the road. Its trip to Comcast Center will be its fifth road game of the season.
• Amber Holt leads the team with 22.8 points per game and is the only player on the squad averaging double figures, shooting a team-best 51.8 percent from the floor. She is also the team's rebounding leader, grabbing 7.7 boards per game.
• Middle Tennessee returned seven of 13 letterwinners from last year's team which advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Among the letterwinners returning were three starters. MTSU has had to make up for the loss of Chrissy Givens, who led last year's team with 22.6 ppg and was third on the team with 6.2 rpg.
• Head coach Rick Insell, who is in his third season at the helm, coached the team to its fourth-straight Sun Belt title.
• SERIES HISTORY: The first meeting between the teams was last season when the Terrapins, then playing in their first game as defending champions, defeated the Blue Raiders, 80-76, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to start an 18-0 opening season streak.

High School Reunion
• There will be a high school reunion on Friday, when Middle Tennessee State visits College Park. Terrapin Ashliegh Newman will be reunited with her former high school coach and current MTSU head coach Rick Insell. Insell was a coach at Shelbyville Central for 28 seasons, Newman's alma mater. Newman and Insell won three state titles together.

Langhorne Breaks All-Time Rebounding Record
• On Monday at Rutgers, National Player of the Year candidate Crystal Langhorne broke Maryland's 19-year old all-time rebounding record. Langhorne has hauled down 973 boards over 109 career games played.
• Langhorne is among the all-time best rebounders in ACC history. She ranked 18th in total career rebounds and is 20th with an 8.9 boards per game career average.
• Langhorne topped former Terrapin great Vicky Bullett's record of 968, which she set from 1986-1989. Langhorne is within reach of Bullett's scoring record, as well, ranking third with 1,768 career points, just 160 points shy of Bullett's record.
• Langhorne is also third all-time among men's and women's basketball players at Maryland. Former Terrapin Len Elmore (1972-74) holds the school record with 1,053 career boards and Lonny Baxter (1999-02) grabbed 998 rebounds in his career.

Terps in the History Books Again
• With three players reaching the 1,000-point plateau this season, this year's Maryland squad becomes the 11th known team in NCAA history with four 1,000 poin scorers.
• Research compiled by Kansas State Sports Information office.
