Maryland was the first team in the nation to win 10 games, with four wins coming against ranked opponents. Its only loss was to a top-five opponent.
National Player of the Year candidate Crystal Langhorne, who broke Maryland's all-time rebounding record, and junior Kristi Toliver, who became the 25th player in school history to reach 1,000 points, will be honored before the game for their accomplishments.

Terps Host Northern Iowa
Northern Iowa makes a two-game East Coast swing, stopping to face third-ranked Maryland on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. It will be the third game of the week for the Terps, who are wrapping up a grueling 14-game schedule in 31 days.
Terrapins Crystal Langhorne and Kristi Toliver will be recognized for accomplishments achieved this week. Both will be presented with game balls, Langhorne for breaking Maryland's all-time rebounding record and Toliver for becoming the 25th player in school history to score 1,000 points.
Maryland bounced back from its first loss of the season, fending off Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday to pick up its 11th win of the season. The Terps are currently the only team with double-digit wins.

About the Terps
Maryland bounced back from its first loss of the season and improved to 11-1. The Terps were the first team in the nation to win 10 games. The wins include four victories over ranked teams, including two in the Preseason WNIT, which the Terps won.
Maryland has had at least one player with a double-double in nine of its 12 games, posting 13 double-doubles overall. Seniors Laura Harper and Jade Perry, and juniors Kristi Toliver and Marissa Coleman have each posted three so far this season. Making a return to the starting lineup against UCLA, Crystal Langhorne had her first double-double of the season in the win over Pittsburgh.
Leading the way offensively for the Terrapins is junior Kristi Toliver, who is averaging a team-best 18.2 points and 7.8 assists per game. Five Terps, in all, are averaging double-digit scoring.
Coleman is grabbing a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game, with Harper not far behind, averaging 7.7 rpg. Four Terps in all are averaging at least 6.3 rpg.
The Terps' offense continues to be one of the best in the nation. Entering the week, they ranked third in the nation and are currently first in the ACC in field goal percentage, knocking down nearly 50 percent of their shot attempts. Maryland also boasts one of the best three-point shooters in the nation, shooting 43.5 percent from long range.
The nation's leader in rebounding margin the last two years, Maryland has outrebounding its opponents by +9.7 rpg.
About the Panthers
Averaging 62.0 points per game as a team, UNI is led by Nicole Clausen, who is netting 12.3 ppg. Teammate Jacqui Kalin is the only other player averaging double-figure scoring, scoring 11.0 ppg. The Panthers are averaging 8.0 threes per game, whicih ranks seventh in the nation.
UNI was 17-13 on the season, tying for fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference with an 11-7 record. The Panthers returned nine letterwinners, including two starters. This season, the team welcomed a new coach in Tanya Warren, who had been an associate head coach at her alma mater Creighton prior to taking over at Cedar Falls, Iowa.
SERIES HISTORY: Maryland won the only meeting between the teams last year in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Terrapin head coach Brenda Frese's hometown. The Terps cruised to a 77-33 victory. Maryland is 3-0 against MVC teams, with two of the wins coming against Drake.
Nearly 1,000 Grabbed
Already having broken the career rebounding record, Maryland's Crystal Langhorne could become the first-ever Terrapin women's basketball player to grab 1,000 rebounds.
Langhorne is 22 shy of the milennium mark. Only one other Terrapins, men's or women's, has reached the milstone. Len Elmore (1972-74) had 1,053 boards for his career.
Only 14 players in NCAA history have grabbed 1,000 rebounds.
