
Two Terps Earn Amateur Wrestling News Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland freshmen Mike Letts and Hudson Taylor were honored recently with spots on the Amateur Wrestling News' All-Rookie team.
Letts was named to the top spot of the 174-pound class, and Taylor was number three at 197 pounds.
Letts completed a freshman season that saw him compile an impressive 30-7 record, which included 10 major decisions and the Atlantic Coast Conference title at 174 pounds. He was the Terps' Freshman of the Year.
Taylor also made a strong first impression as a Terrapin, sporting a 29-9 record. He earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award at the team's annual awards picnic.
The pair was featured in the May edition of Amateur Wrestling News. Six wrestlers in each of 10 weight classes earned spots on the team.
