COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Freshmen Mike Letts and Andrew Bradley both competed in the FILA Junior World Team Trials in Colorado Springs on May 26. Both wrestlers finished fourth at 185 and 163 pounds, respectively. The winner from each weight class earned the right to represent the United States at the world championships in August.
Letts won the ACC Championship at 174 pounds this season and was the first true freshman to take part in the NCAA Championships for the Terps since Jason Shea did it in 1990. He finished the 2006-07 season with a record of 30-7.
Bradley was a three-time Delaware state and conference champion. In his high school days, he recorded a career record of 138-23 and placed third at Beast of the East.
Both Letts and Bradley were part of the 13th-best recruiting class in the country in 2006.
