CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Aaron's Football Saturdays in the South, Lincoln Financial Sports' popular summer mini-series, will lead into the network's fall programming of Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference football games for the fourth year. The six, one-hour long episodes are syndicated on over-the air television stations in 59 markets throughout the southern United States.
As always, Aaron's Football Saturdays in the South will get fans ready for the upcoming season and go behind-the-scenes with the biggest names from yesterday and today. Current players, legends, personalities, coaches and rivalries will be featured in this summer's series. Episodes will include Urban Meyer, Randy White, Tommy Casanova, Billy Payne and many others who have contributed to the passion that is football in the south.
The themes included in this year's episodes are:
Long-time Terrapin announcer Johnny Holliday is featured in episode two, while White, a former Terp All-American and NFL All-Pro, is a subject of episode four.
Tim Brando serves as host for the fourth year-in-a-row.
Locally, the mini-series can be seen on WJLA-TV (ABC 7) at the following times.
