Comcast SportsNet, the Official Regional Sports Network of the Maryland Terrapins, announced Tuesday the most extensive University of Maryland football lineup in the region. The network partners with one of the nation's elite football programs for a comprehensive lineup of original shows, playbacks, and extensive coverage within SportsNite with "ACC Kickoff Week" and weekly University of Maryland coaches reports.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4, Comcast SportsNet will debut Terrapins Playback, re-airing the school's Saturday game in its entirety. Terrapins Playback, featuring the previous day's University of Maryland game, will air throughout the rest of the season each Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
The network also features the weekly coach's show of University of Maryland Coach Ralph Friedgen each Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The Ralph Friedgen Coach's Show debuts Saturday, Sept. 8. During SportsNite, viewers can also catch Friedgen's weekly in-depth report, exclusive to Comcast SportsNet. The nightly news program features "Inside the Coach's Office with Ralph Friedgen" every Wednesday throughout the football season.
The ACC football season officially began on Comcast SportsNet Sunday, Aug. 26, with "ACC Kickoff Week." The network is dedicating six consecutive nights to preview ACC football within SportsNite at 6:30 and 10 p.m. Throughout the week, the network features some of the conference's standouts for 2007 including Ike Whitaker and Erin Henderson and Comcast SportsNet analyst Doc Walker will take viewers inside the Atlantic and Coastal Division races. Comcast SportsNet's Chris Miller will be live from Blacksburg, Va., Aug. 30-Sept. 1, with a comprehensive look at how the athletic program will help the community move forward from the April tragedy.
