Maryland-Rutgers Football Game To Air on ABC

Sept. 17, 2007

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The University of Maryland's football game against Rutgers University, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 in Piscataway, N.J., will air on ABC, though the start time has not been set, the BIG EAST Conference announced Monday.

Kickoff will be either 3:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. ET, with ABC choosing to execute a six-day window to decide on the kickoff time. The game time will be released Sunday.

The Terps (2-1, 0-0 ACC), who play at Wake Forest Saturday, haven't faced the Scarlet Knights since 1942. Rutgers is currently 3-0 and ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press poll.

Maryland's first four games of the season are on the ESPN family of outlets. The first two games were shown on ESPN 360, Thursday's contest vs. No. 4 West Virginia went to a national audience on ESPN and the Wake Forest matchup is on ESPNU (3:30 p.m.)

Other Maryland game times will be announced at a later date. After the first three weeks of the season, ACC home games are selected on a 12-day option by ESPN/ABC or Lincoln Financial Sports/Raycom. Four times during the season, ESPN/ABC can choose certain ACC games on a six-day window.
