The Maryland women's basketball team added another television game for the 2007-08 campaign. The Terps' inaugural appearance in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge vs. Ohio State on Nov. 30 will air in front of a national audience on ESPNU.
In all, the Terrapins have been tabbed to make at least 11 television appearances in 2007-08, including seven national broadcasts. Maryland's television schedule begins with the Nov. 11 contest vs. Oklahoma in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic on ESPN2.
The Terps go on to make four national television appearances at UCLA on Nov. 25 (Fox Sports Net), vs. the Buckeyes, at Rutgers for the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 3 (ESPN2) and then again on ESPN2 at home vs. Duke on Jan. 14. Maryland's regional appearance tips off at Virginia on Jan. 18, then it finds itself in a battle at North Carolina on Jan. 26 in front of a national television audience on Fox Sports Net.
Maryland's games against Virginia Tech on Feb. 4 in Blacksburg, Va., and against Virginia on Feb. 8 are on the ACC's Regional Sports Network. The Terps will travel to Duke on Feb. 17 to play on national television again on Fox Sports Net.
Maryland's final regular-season at NC State on March 2 will also be broadcast regionally.
Seven games of the ACC Tournament, which takes place March 6-9 at the Greensboro Coliseum, are slated to be televised regionally and nationally on the Fox Sports Net affiliates. All games of the NCAA Tournament are televised on ESPN or ESPN2, with the Final Four on April 6 and 8 airing on ESPN2.
The ACC's Regional Sports Network includes Comcast SportsNet in the Baltimore/Washington area, Fox Sports Net South, Fox Sports Net Florida and the New England Sports Network. Check local TV listings.
The Terps tip off the season with a preseason exhibition game against the U.S. National Team on Oct. 31 at Comcast Center. General admission tickets are available for purchase. Maryland opens the regular season hosting Princeton on Friday, Nov. 9 in the first round of the Preseason WNIT. Season tickets are still on sale at the Terrapin Ticket Office.
