GAME NOTES <="">

CLEMSON, S.C. - After spending the entire month of September at the friendly confines of Ludwig Field, the No. 4 Maryland men's soccer team travels away from College Park for an ACC match-up at Clemson on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

Maryland, which went a combined 6-1 during the seven-game homestand, enters the weekend after a relatively close-call against Binghamton on Tuesday night. The Terps rallied after a lengthy lightning delay for a 1-0 win against the Bearcats. Matt Kassel took ten corner kicks before notching a goal from 25-yards out in the 78th minute. Freshman goalkeeper Zac MacMath needed to make only two saves and has now racked up three consecutive wins. Fellow classmate Casey Townsend continues to pace the Terps in goals (5) and points (10). Kassel's goal against Binghamton was the first of his career as he leads Maryland in assists with five.

Despite its 2-4-1 record, Clemson has notched a win and a tie against ACC opponents Virginia Tech and Duke, respectively. The Tigers are led by Hassan Ibrahim, who leads Clemson in goals (2) and points (5).

The Terps and the Tigers have faced off 47 times prior with Clemson leading the all-time series, 28-18-1. Maryland won the last outing, 3-2, in overtime on Oct. 5, 2007. Three current Terps scored during that game including Billy Cortes, Drew Yates and Rodney Wallace. Wallace scored in the fourth minute of overtime off of a Graham Zusi corner kick to give the Terps the win at Ludwig Field. Maryland has won four of the last five meetings.
