GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Kickoff for the University of Maryland's home football game vs. North Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 15 has been set for 3:30 p.m. with the contest being broadcast regionally on ABC and ESPN, the Atlantic Coast Conference office announced Monday.
The game will be shown on ABC in most ACC markets, including Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, and on ESPN in some other parts of the country. A complete coverage map will be released next week.
Before facing UNC, the Terrapins (6-2, 3-1 ACC) will meet Virginia Tech (5-3, 2-2) Thursday (7:30 p.m. ET) in Blacksburg. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN
North Carolina (6-2, 2-2), ranked No. 19 in this week's Associated Press poll, will face Georgia Tech Saturday.
The Tar Heels defeated Maryland, 16-13, last season, a victory which snapped a Terps' four-game winning streak in the series. UNC leads the all-time series 36-31-1.
The Terps are riding a six-game home winning streak and have knocked off two ranked teams with the confines of Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium this season.
ACC home games are selected on a 12-day option by ESPN/ABC or Raycom Sports. Four times during the season, ESPN/ABC can choose certain ACC games on a six-day window.
