
Gronkowski Voted to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland tight end Dan Gronkowski was voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday.
Gronkowski, a three-time Academic All-America nominee, was also an all-district choice in 2006.
A three-year starter, the senior has played in 35 career games, including 25 starts. He ranks second on the team in receptions (22) and TD receptions (3) this season. The Amherst, N.Y., native also ranks third in the ACC in receiving (2.8 receptions per game) among tight ends.
Gronkowski graduated in three-and-one-half years with a degree in marketing. He is currently pursuing a master's in business administration and maintains a 3.69 grade-point average.
To be eligible for Academic All-America status, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30.
Members of the eight district teams are eligible for the Academic All-America team which will be voted on later this month and announced on Nov. 25.
