Maryland Head Coach Brenda Frese

On taking exhibition seriously:

"In both exhibition games, I think we were trying to find our rotation and where we see people fitting in within different areas. The nice thing is that we did have the competitiveness of the first game to be able to challenge us."

On free-throw shooting percentage:

"Obviously it is an area we have to improve on, especially when we go on the road. You have to step up and make free throws, so it's something we addressed today. But the biggest thing we have to do to correct that is for our players to get in the gym and have a lot more reps. Its early. I expect that we will get in the gym working on our repetition and be able to improve that."

On contrast between Lynetta Kizer and Dee Liles:

"I think they compliment each other extremely well. The way Lynetta really feels comfortable down low in the post and to be able to have that high-low with Dee and Lynetta. I think the two of them working together in tandem, I thought they showed some great things together tonight."

On what the team needs to improve on most:

"It's early in the season. I thought we were really coachable tonight and we made strides. As a team we definitely improved, but coaches are never satisfied and I feel we have to improve on a lot of things."
