PRINCETON, N.J. -
Led by five goals from Rachel Jordan, the Maryland women's water polo team closed out the Princeton Invitational on Sunday with a win over Harvard, 11-8.
The Terrapins (5-3) took over in the second half to get their third win in four matches at the weekend-long tournament.
"Rachel Jordan took over the game at one point and turned it from a tie game into putting us in the lead," Coach Carl Salyer said. Jordan's five goals were the most by any Maryland player in a match this season.
Goalie Ashleigh Jobson had eight blocks in the match. Elizabeth Hopkins scored two goals to bring her weekend total to six.
The Terps defeated Siena, 8-3, and Villanova, 14-2, on the first day of the tournament before falling to No. 18 Indiana, 12-6, Saturday night.
Maryland's next action will be at the Terrapin Invitational February 23 and 24, at the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium in College Park, when the team will face Iona, Marist and Wagner.
