March 2, 2008

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - The fifth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team enters the 31st annual ACC Women's Basketball Tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Terrapins earn a first-round bye and begin their conference championship hunt on Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Greensboro Coliseum.

Maryland went 13-1 in ACC play after its win at NC State on Sunday. It is the most league wins for the program since 1992.
