Maryland is ranked fifth in the final Associated Press poll, appearing in the top five every week.
The Terps' No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament is the second time in the history of the program they have earned a top seed.

Marissa Coleman's three-straight All-ACC selections makes her one of four Terrapins all-time to be named all-conference at least three times.
The Terps are one of two teams in NCAA history to have four players with 1,300 career points on the roster (along with 01-02 Connecticut). They are one of 12 known teams with four 1,000-point scorers.
The Terps have had at least one player with a double-double in 29 of their 34 games and lead the country with 46 team double-doubles.

Top-Seeded Maryland Travels to Spokane for Sweet Sixteen
The No. 1 seed in the region, Maryland heads to Spokane for the Sweet Sixteen. It will face fourth-seeded Vanderbilt on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. The Terrapins advance to the Sweet Sixteen for the second time in three years.
Also surviving through to the Sweet Sixteen were sixth-seeded Pittsburgh, who the Terps beat earlier in the season at Comcast Center, and second-seeded Stanford, the Pac-10 champion. The winners of Saturday's games move on to the Elite Eight on Monday, March 31.
Both rounds of the tournament in Spokane will be televised nationally. Maryland's first matchup against Vanderbilt will be broadcast on ESPN with Debbie Antonelli and Dave Patsch calling the action. Heather Cox will be on the sidelines.
Langhorne's Reaches Another Milestone
Crystal Langhorne has scored over 2,200 points and grabbed over 1,200 rebounds in her career. She is only the fourth player in ACC history to achieve the feat.
Toliver Breaks ACC Assist Record
First team All-ACC performer Kristi Toliver broke the ACC's single-season assist record, a mark which had stood for 30 years. The record was perviously held by former Terrapin and Hall of Famer Tara Heiss. She had dished 249 assists during the 1977-78 campaign.
Toliver has handed out 262 assists so far this season.
Terps Lead the Nation in Double-Doubles
Maryland's 47 team double-doubles are the most for any team in the nation this season. At least one Terp has achieved the feat in 30 of the team's 35 games. Five different Terrapins have recorded a double-double this season.
Balancing Act
Once again, Maryland is getting all the players involved when it comes to offense. With four players averaging double figures, the scoring is coming from all positions on the court.
While six different players have led the team in scoring, to date, the Terps have had at least four players score in double figures in 23 games. At least three have reached double figures in every game.
In the blowout win over Loyola, six Terps scored in double figures that evening. All five scorers reached double digits in the win over UMBC and five players reached double digits in the win over Florida State on Senior Day.
