    Terps in the ACC Tournaments
    • Maryland had won an ACC-record eight league tournament titles, a record it had held since 1989 until North Carolina won its eighth last year. The Terps won the first-ever ACC Tournament title in 1978 and eight of the first 12, but have not hoisted the conference trophy since 1989.
    • The Terrapins boast the second-most ACC Tournament wins (41) and the second-best winning percentage (41-22, .651) all-time behind only North Carolina (47-22, .681).
    • Maryland has reached the semifinals of the tournament in each of the last four years, advancing to the championship game in 2006. It was the first time Maryland had been in the title game since 1993.
    • The Terps' No. 2 seed in this year's tournament is their best seeding since 1993. It is the ninth time they have been the two seed. Maryland is 15-5 in the tournament as the two seed, winning the title three times (1978, 1983, 1988).
    • A LOOK BACK: Maryland was the third seed for the third-straight year in 2007, defeating Georgia Tech, 75-59, avenging a regular-season loss to the Yellow Jackets. Maryland took control in the first half, leading 40-26. The Terps were led by Crystal Langhorne's 18 points and nine rebounds, while Marissa Coleman had 16 points and 11 boards. They shot 59.2 percent from the floor to advance to the semifinals for the third-consecutive year. In the semifinals against North Carolina, it was a hard-fought battle as the score was tied with two minutes remaining in the game. Maryland trailed the entire game, battling back to tie the score, 67-67, with 2:01 left, but UNC closed out the game outscoring Maryland, 11-5, down the stretch to win, 78-72. Coleman led the Terps with 18 points.

    Lucky 13
    • Maryland's 13-1 ACC record ties the school mark. The wins are the most since 1992 when the Terps went 13-3. The Terps first won 13 ACC games in 1989 to set the standard.
