COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Sarah Dooley recorded all 21 outs as Maryland softball defeated Seton Hall, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon in the Maryland Invitational. Dooley (7-1) pitched six shutout innings for the #23/25 Terps (16-1), was replace at the beginning of the seventh, but re-entered in later in the inning to finish the game.

Breanna Shaw's RBI double scored Brittany Bessho in the second inning surged the Terps to a 1-0 lead. She then scored on an Alex Schultz single to left field.

Jenny Belak singled to lead off the fifth inning for the 172nd hit of her career, tying her for ninth all-time. Belak then stole second and is now three away from breaking the school record. Sarde Stewart singled her home to give the Terps a 3-0 lead.

Schultz displayed great fielding ability in the top of the sixth, diving to her left for the first out and making two superb plays with strong throws to get the second and third outs.

After reliever Kerry Hickey allowed two hits, Dooley came back into pitch with runners at second and third with no one out. Seton Hall's Brittany Schillizzi singled to put the Pirates on the board, but Dooley induced Seton Hall into two long fly balls to end the game.

The Terps are scheduled to return to action Sunday in the Maryland Invitational against Columbia and Fordham at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
