Athletics Hosts Maryland Day Events

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - It's the 10th Annual Maryland Day at the University of Maryland as the campus welcomes thousands of our fans, friends and neighbors for a spring visit. This year's date is Saturday, April 26th, and the intercollegiate athletics department has joined all other campus programs with the development of a fun-filled, informative schedule.

Intercollegiate Athletics Maryland Day Schedule

  • All Day - Comcast Center Tours

  • 10 - 11 a.m. - NEW! Train Like The Terps - a presentation by our strength & conditioning and athletic training staffs on healthy living and Terp-inspired workouts (Glazer Auditorium, Gossett Football Team House)

  • Noon - 1 p.m. - NEW! Men's and Women's Soccer Skills and Drills Session - featuring select coaches and players (Varsity Practice Field) - Noon - 12:30 p.m. - Women's Soccer - 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. - Men' Soccer

  • Noon - 1 p.m. - Maryland Men's Basketball Autograph Session - Four players and Coach Williams (Comcast Center Pavilion)

  • Noon - 1 p.m. - Maryland Women's Basketball Autograph Session - Four players and Coach Frese (Comcast Center Pavilion)

  • 12:30 - 1 p.m. - NEW! Cheer The Turtle! - a demonstration by the Spirit Squad (Comcast Center Wrestling Room)

  • 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Maryland Football Autograph Session - all players and Head Coach Ralph Friedgen (Byrd Stadium Concourse)

  • 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. - NEW! Sports Media Panel - featuring local beat reporters and/or Maryland journalism alums, coaches and/or student-athletes, co-presented by the Phillip Merrill College of Journalism (1213 Art-Sociology)

  • 3:30 p.m. - 2008 Spring Red/White Game (Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium)
