Maryland Athletics Earns Five 2025-26 CSC Fred Stabley Sr. National Writing Awards

The University of Maryland Athletics Strategic Communications and Content Development unit earned five 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Fred Stabley Sr. National Writing awards, announced on June 1.
The annual writing contest recognizes the top storytelling and feature writing in collegiate athletics across eight categories, along with a National Story of the Year award. Awards are awarded in both NCAA Division I and College divisions.
Maryland earned one national win and four national runner-up finishes.
National Winner:
To be eligible for national consideration, entries must first be recognized as district winners. Maryland collected six district winners and four district runner-up honors in 2025-26.
All entries recognized in the 2025-26 competition were originally published between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025.
