COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer team will wrap up its spring season with the annual Alumni Game set for Saturday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. The match will take place at the Varsity Practice Field on Stadium Drive.
After going 2-0-1 on their first spring trip to Florida, the Terps tied Crystal Palace FC of the United Soccer League second division, 1-1, on April 10. Freshman Casey Townsend, who joined the Terps this spring, scored the equalizer for Maryland 17 seconds into the second half after Crystal Palace had scored in the 25th minute.
The Terps then faced St. John's on April 19 and came out of Jamaica, N.Y. with a 2-0 victory. Townsend scored a goal for the second-straight game and sophomore Drew Yates added the other.
Sophomore Jeremy Hall has led the Terps in the spring with three goals. Sophomore Doug Rodkey and junior Graham Zusi also scored for Maryland earlier in the season and have a goal apiece.
