COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 4 Maryland men's soccer team will look to rebound from last Friday night's loss to No. 1 Wake Forest when they take on Binghamton in the conclusion of a seven-game homestand at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at Ludwig Field.
Terrapin forward Casey Townsend had the finest week of his young career at Maryland last week. The freshman tallied six points in two games after he netted a pair of goals in a win against American on Tuesday and scored a goal to help Maryland regain the lead against No. 1 Wake Forest on Friday. He leads the Terps in goals (5) and points (10) in 2008. Maryland fell to the Demon Deacons, 4-2, in its last outing.
Binghamton, who is receiving votes in the Top 25 this week, is 5-1-3 in 2008. The Bearcats, who hail from the America East Conference, are riding an eight-game winning streak into Ludwig Field on Tuesday. Cameron Keith leads the Bearcats with three goals this season. Jason Stenta has five shutouts for Binghamton this season at keeper.
The all-times series between Binghamton and Maryland rests in favor of the Terps, 1-0. Maryland won the last meeting, 3-0, in 2006.
Tickets for Tuesday's contest are $8 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors. Students with a valid student ID gain free admission to games at Ludwig Field.
Tuesday's game wraps up the month of September at home for the Terps. Maryland hits the road and gets back into ACC action when it heads to Clemson on Friday. ="">
