Schedule Finalized for 8th Annual Coaches Clinic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Head coach Brenda Frese and the University of Maryland women's basketball program has finalized the schedule for its 8th Annual Coaches Clinic, which will take place Saturday, Nov. 7 at both Gossett Team House and Comcast Center.
Basketball coaches at all levels and age groups are encouraged to attend.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at Gossett Team House with coffee and bagels available to clinic participants. Frese will welcome the coaches at 10 a.m. before sessions officially begin at 10:15 a.m.
Frese and her staff have developed a comprehensive clinic that will help coaches gain a competitive advantage on and off the court. This year's schedule includes: Leadership & Motivational Coaching Techniques, How to Find the Right Athletes For Your Program, Xs & Os, Quick-hitters, Drills, Strategies, Strength & Conditioning and Preventing Injuries.
Attendees will also be served lunch, during which time they will have the opportunity to network with other coaches. Optional tours of the facilities at Gossett will be available and will include a session on injury-prevention techniques by Maryland athletic trainer Matt Charvat.
Following the conclusion of lunch, the remainder of the clinic will be held at Comcast Center, where participants will observe an official Maryland team practice from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Following Maryland's practice, Frese will deliver a closing statement to wrap up the day.
Registration for this event is ongoing. The cost is $50 per coach, $135 for a staff of three coaches and $150 for a staff of four. Checks should be made payable to Maryland WBB Camps & Clinics.
