After already earning All-ACC First Team honors this season, Zac MacMath and Jason Herrick added to their award cabinets Thursday, being tabbed to TopDrawerSoccer.com's College Soccer Team of the Season.
MacMath, a sophomore keeper from St. Petersburg, Fla., was named to the second team after helping lead a completely refurbished backline to eight shutouts in 19 matches.
Herrick, who was tabbed to the third team, paces the Terps in scoring with eight goals and 17 points. The redshirt junior from Elmhurst, Ill., is Maryland's top clutch performer in 2009, nailing six game-winners for Maryland which embarks on a repeat title hunt Thursday versus Loyola (Md.) at Ludwig Field.
After Matt Kassel was tabbed TopDrawerSoccer.com's Freshman of the Year in 2008, Taylor Kemp racked up second team all-rookie honors this season. A defender from Highlands Ranch, Colo., Kemp has stepped in nicely for the Terrapin backline in his rookie campaign, starting in every match but one for the Terps.
