COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland women's basketball continues their five-game home-stand as they face Howard Fri. Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. ET in Comcast Center.
The Terrapins (4-1) look to extend the program's record of consecutive home games won to 41 when the Bison (1-3) come to visit. Howard most recently defeated Jacksonville State Wednesday afternoon, 58-42.
Howard's team features seven returning players and eight newcomers, including All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference second team selection Zykia Brown, the Bison's leading scorer with 16.3 points per game this season.
The Terps earned a much needed win Tuesday evening against Samford. Maryland defeated the Bulldogs 76-49 at home after a difficult road loss to Mississippi State last Sunday. Having learned from their game against MSU, the Terps charged out the gate and went on an early 25-3 run against Samford. Kizer leads the Terps in scoring and rebounding with 16.4 points per game and 8.2 rebounds. The Woodbridge, Va., native was 8-for-8 against Samford including a successful three-point shot, her first attempt of the season.
