Wujciak's Pick-Six First Since '06: When linebacker Alex Wujciak returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, it marked the first interception for a TD by the Maryland defense since 2006. Erin Henderson was the last Terp to accomplish the feat, returning an interception 45 yards for a score on Oct. 14, 2006 against Virginia.
Three Picks Most Since '07: The Terps recorded three interceptions in the game, including the first of Richard Taylor's and Wujciak's careers. It was the most interceptions since Maryland also had three against Wake Forest on Sept. 22, 2007.
Pressure From Pooler: Ben Pooler has become one of the best pass rushers for the Terps, having recorded one sack in each of the last four games. Pooler finished the day with 11 tackles, including eight solos, which set a career-high.
Terps Protect the Ball: Maryland finished the game with just one turnover, an interception thrown by Chris Turner on the game's first play. Maryland's defense, meanwhile, recorded four takeaways on the day (three interceptions, one fumble recovery). In the past two games, Maryland has a plus-4 turnover margin.
Robinson Runs and Throws: Jamarr Robinson, who played the entire second half in place of an injured Chris Turner, had success through the air and on the ground. On a drive in the fourth quarter that setup Nick Ferrara's field goal, bringing Maryland within 38-31, Robinson finished 5-of-5 passing for 27 yards, and ran the ball twice for 12 yards. Robinson finished the game with 38 yards rushing with two plays over 10 yards.
