The third episode of Under the Shell gives viewers a chance to get to know the personalities of all the newcomers as they have a little fun during their first road trip of the season. New members of the team, coaches and players alike, are given a chance to showcase their unique talents during a “long-standing Maryland basketball tradition” instituted by Coach B.
This behind-the-scenes television show airs on Comcast Sports Net and chronicles the entire University of Maryland women's basketball season.
The players are the stars of the show and throughout the season, cameras follow the team on and off the court, with each episode told through the voices of the team. During its six-year run, viewers have been taken inside the team for memorable moments, including the run to the 2006 National Championship, the 2009 ACC Championship, Coach Frese's pregnancy, road trips and numerous exciting games.
The show airs on Comcast Sports Net, which is carried regionally on cable and nationally via satellite (DirecTV Ch. 629 and Dish Ch. 424). Viewers can find the show and even catch previous seasons and episodes online via MarylandWomensBasketball.com.
