Jessica Hollandsworth finished in a tie for 14th place and the Maryland women's golf team opened its spring season with a 30th place finish at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Golf Classic. Hollandsworth, who finished just seven strokes off the pace at 9-over-par, posted a final-round 72 to pace the Terrapins.
The Kiawah Golf Classic was the largest event of the women's golf season, with over 40 teams and 400 golfers competing.
Alexis Holmes was the next-highest placing Terp, finishing 29-over-par to finish in a tie for 137th.
Lara Peffley finished tied for 148th with 32-over par for the event.
Maryland will next be in action at the Pinehurst Challenge in Southern Pines, N.C. on March 2.
