Q: How has the transition from college to the professional ranks been for you thus far in your rookie campaign?
A: It has had its ups and downs. I started out well and then hurt my ankle. So having to deal with an injury for really the first time has been an adjustment. Overall, it has been pretty good though. It really helped having Lang (Crystal Langhorne) here as well as a few other players I knew before the Mystics. They have definitely helped with the transition.
Q: Outside of your former Maryland teammate Crystal Langhorne, which player or players on the Mystics has helped you the most in this transition?
A: Alana Beard has definitely been one to help me make this transition. She is constantly in my ear on and off the court helping me become a better player.
Q: What has it been like to be reunited with Crystal as professionals?
A: It has been fun to be back playing with Lang. We had a great three years at Maryland and to be able play with her again has been awesome. We get to relive a lot of old Maryland memories and make fun of the Dookies about that 2006 Championship : )
Q: What is it like to play against former Terp teammate Kristi Toliver as opposed to being teammates when the Mystics and Sky square off?
A: It was weird at first because for the past four years I have played with her. Our senior year we had a special connection on the court, we just seemed to know where each other were. So seeing her in another color other than red and black was hard.
Q: What have been the pros and cons of playing professionally near your hometown and where you went to college?
A: So far there have been no cons. I have loved playing close to home and Maryland. I am able to go home and see my family when I want to and also can go see my Maryland teammates when I miss them. It has all worked out for the best.
Q: What are your expectations for the Mystics the rest of this season?
A: We definitely want to make it to the playoffs and contend for a championship.
Q: What do you miss most about being at Maryland?
A: Everything. I miss my teammates, coaches, friends, Comcast Center. Everything. I had a very special four years at Maryland and I will always miss the times I had there.
Q: What is your fondest memory of Coach Frese?
A: have many good memories of Coach B. If I had to choose one, I am going to have to go with her great dancing skills. She was always good for busting a move or two. Especially the Running Man... classic!
