COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Two games with the U.S. Men's National Training Team highlight the Maryland men's lacrosse team's fall schedule coach Dave Cottle announced today.

The Terps kick off their "Fall Ball" season on Friday, October 9, with the annual alumni game. The event is slated for 7:30 p.m. at the J. Logan and Louise Schutz Football Practice Complex located behind the Varsity Team House off of Stadium Drive. All interested players should call 301-314-7117 so that jerseys can be available for the alumni team.

In the marquee event of this fall for Maryland, the Terrapins will play two exhibitions against the U.S. Men's National Training Team as part of the Navy Lacrosse Fall Classic in Annapolis, Md., on Sunday, October 18. The Terps will take on USA Team 1 at 10 a.m. and USA Team 2 at 12:30 p.m. Both games will take place on the Farragut Field Turf Field at the U.S. Naval Academy. Four former Terps (midfielder Joe Walters, defenders Joe Cinosky and Lee Zink and goalie Brian Dougherty) are on the 40-man training team and are trying to make the final 23-man roster that will represent the United States in the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships July 10-24 in Manchester, England.
