Junior forward Casey Townsend was named to Top Drawer Soccer's `Team of the Week' for his contributions in a pair of victories against Colgate and Wake Forest.

In the team's first matchup of the week, Townsend helped the Terps defeat Colgate, 2-0, by posting one assist and one goal on three shots. The goal, which came in the 80th minute, sealed the victory for the Terrapins.

Later in the week, Townsend was instrumental in a 3-1 win against ACC-foe Wake Forest, adding a goal to the team's efforts. With the victory, Maryland moved to 5-1-1 in the ACC.

Townsend has six goals and a pair of assists in 2010.

The list, which honors players across the nation for their superior play, is based on games played from October 18-24, 2010.

Towsend and the third-ranked Terps travel to Virginia to face the No. 8 Cavaliers on Friday to cap the ACC regular season.
