COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
One week after opening the season at home for the Terrapin Duals, the University of Maryland wrestling team returns to action Saturday at 12th annual Brockport Invitational in Brockport, N.Y.
Ranked 35th in the country by Intermat, the Terps (3-1) will compete against Brockport, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 21 American, No. 23 Rutgers, No. 44 Buffalo and No. 57 Clarion in the one-day event.
"I am looking forward to this weekend," said head coach Kerry McCoy. "Anytime you can compete with nationally ranked teams and individuals, you have to be excited for the opportunity."
McCoy will send out over a dozen wrestlers at the Brockport Invitational including Shane Gentry, Kyle John, Josh Asper and Mike Letts, all of whom went undefeated at the Terrapin Duals.
Many of the wrestlers not in action at Brockport will square off in open competition at the Ursinus Fall Brawl.
