The University of Maryland volleyball team concludes its 2010 season 1 p.m. Wednesday at Boston College in Boston, Mass.
The Terrapins (19-12, 10-9 ACC) are looking to sweep the Eagles (8-24, 0-19 ACC) and secure their first winning season overall and within the conference since 2005, when Maryland finished at 28-5, 18-4 ACC, earned a conference championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Junior Lisa Scott leads Maryland with a .337 attack percentage, seventh-best in the conference. Scott also has a team-best 115 total blocks. Freshman Mary Cushman is the Terrapins' kills leader with 331 in 31 matches played. Sophomore Remy McBain leads the team with 1,138 assists and 12 double-doubles on the year. Senior Bethany Springer's 499 digs are fourth-most in a season in school history.
The Terps swept the Eagles at home to kick-off the conference season and are 8-4 in the all-time series. Despite finishing 8-5 in out-of-conference play, Boston College is 0-10 in the ACC.
Wednesday's match will be the last for Maryland seniors Brittney Grove, Michelle Kenning, Marissa Odom and Springer.
Maryland's 19-12, 10-9 ACC record is its best under third-year head coach Tim Horsmon.
