COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The 22nd-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will play at Purdue Thursday in the fourth year of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Terps (5-1) and the Boilermakers (4-0) will tip off at 6:30 p.m. at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind.
The game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network and live stats will also be available.
This will be the fifth all time meeting between Maryland Purdue. Most recently, the two teams met Dec. 4, 2008. The Terrapins won that meeting 70-59 in West Lafayette.
Freshman Alyssa Thomas was named ACC Rookie of the Week Monday. She averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists over the two games. She was also named Tournament MVP.
Maryland beat East Carolina 76-60 Friday in the tournament and UMass 82-50 Saturday. Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang was named to the All-Tournament team along with Thomas.

Maryland will head to Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. Thursday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The Terrapins are ranked No. 22 in the third week of the Associated Press poll and are receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Division I Top 25 Coaches poll.
The Terps are coming off of a 82-50 win against UMass in their second game of the Eighth Annual East Carolina Thanksgiving Tournament.
Freshman Alyssa Thomas was named the ACC's Rookie of the Week Monday. She was the ECU Tournament MVP, as she led the Terrapins in scoring with 14.5 points per game.
Entering the fourth year in of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Terrapins are 3-0 all time in the series.
LAST TIME OUT
Maryland beat UMass 82-50 Saturday in the ECU Thanksgiving Tournament.
Freshman Alyssa Thomas led the Terrapins with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field.
Sophomore Tianna Hawkins added 14 points, as she was 7-for-8 from the field. Diandra Tchatchouang and Lynetta Kizer each scored 11.
The Terrapins outrebounded the Minutewomen 47-25. On the offensive glass, Maryland grabbed 20 to UMass' 10.
The Terrapins went 13-deep in the game. 10 saw 11 minutes or more.
Maryland won the battle inside with 48 points in the paint to UMass' 8.
Thomas was named the Tournament MVP, while Tchatchouang was named to the All-Tournament team.
SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS
Purdue is 4-0 heading into Thursday's game. Most recently, the Boilermakers won the Preseason WNIT Tournament last Sunday.
Purdue redshirt-junior Drey Mingo started her collegiate career at Maryland, where she played the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons.
The Boilermakers are led in scoring by Brittany Rayburn, who averages 17.8 points per game.
Purdue averages over 17 assists per game.
The Terrapins lead the all-time series over the Boilermakers, 3-1. Most recently, Maryland beat Purdue 70-59 in West Lafayette on Dec. 4, 2008.
ABOUT THE TERPS
Maryland fields one of the youngest rosters in the nation. The Terps are one of the few teams in the country to not have any seniors.
All five members of Maryland's No. 2 recruiting class played in their state's high school championship game and two, Alicia DeVaughn and Laurin Mincy won their respective titles.
Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang played in the European championships over the summer. She led France to a fourth-place finish in the tournament. She was on her way to being tournament MVP, before suffering an ankle injury.
10 of the 14 Terrapins are over 6'0 tall and eight are over 6'2, making the Terps one of the tallest teams in the country.
CRASHING THE GLASS
Maryland is one of the strongest rebounding teams in the league.
The Terrapins average 50.5 rebounds a game, which is second in the ACC.
They lead the league in rebounding margin (+19.8).
Freshman Alicia DeVaughn is tied for No. 7 in the league in rebounds with an average of 8.3 a game. Lynetta Kizer is No. 10 (7.5).
The Terrapins have won the battle on the boards in all six of their games. They have grabbed 303 rebounds to their opponent's 184.
ALL HANDS ON DECK
Eight Terrapins are averaging over 18.0 minutes per game.
All 13 Terps have seen action in four of the six games this year.
Ten players for Maryland have played in every game.
200 FOR FRESE
Frese earned her 200th win at Maryland Nov. 21 vs. American.
Just entering her ninth season in College Park, Frese's record is 202-74. (.732).
TERPS IN THE POLLS
Maryland is ranked No. 22 in the latest Associated Press poll and is receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Terps began the season ranked 21st in the Associated Press poll. They have started the season ranked in each of the last seven seasons.
Maryland was also ranked No. 10 in the preseason Athlon Sports poll.
TOUGH PLACE TO PLAY
Comcast Center was recently named one of the country's top ten toughest places to play. No other ACC school made the top ten.
The Terps have won 83.20 percent of their games in Comcast Center (114-23) since it opened in 2002.
Maryland has led the ACC in attendance since 2007.
