COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The No. 19/22 Maryland women's basketball team will head to Dover, Del. this weekend to play at Delaware State. The Terrapins and the Hornets are set to tip off at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Terps won the only previous meeting with the Hornets 73-46 on Nov. 16, 2008.
The Terrapins are coming off of a 71-45 win over UMBC last Friday. Sophomore Tianna Hawkins scored a 16 points to reach the 400-mark. Junior Anjale Barrett added 12 points and freshman Alyssa Thomas notched 10.
Junior Lynetta Kizer grabbed her 600th rebound in the game.
The Terrapins moved up to No. 19 in the Associated Press poll this week. They come in at No. 22 in the ESPN USA Today Top 25 Coaches poll. This week marks the 100th week head coach Brenda Frese has had a team ranked in the Top 25 in her nine years at Maryland.
Sunday's game will be broadcast live on WMUCSports.com and live stats will be available.
After Sunday's game, Maryland will play host to No. 18/18 St. John's, La Salle and Liberty in the annual Terrapin Classic Dec. 28-29. The Terps and La Salle will play Dec. 28 at noon, while Liberty and St. John's will tip off at 2:30. The Terrapins will play at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 29.

LAST TIME OUT...
Maryland beat Maryland-Baltimore County 71-45 Friday night in College Park.
Sophomore Tianna Hawkins led the Terrapins with 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field. She was also 2-for-2 at the foul line and grabbed five rebounds.
Junior Anjale Barrett and freshman Alyssa Thomas scored 12 and 10 points, respectively. Thomas has scored double-digit points in eight of the nine games she has played in.
The Terrapins outrebounded the Retrievers 33-20. Maryland won the battle inside, outscoring UMBC in the paint 26-16. UMBC had no second-chance points.
The Terps had a season-low 12 turnovers and forced 19 out of the Retrievers. Maryland scored 24 points off turnovers and UMBC got just 9.
Maryland's bench scored 25 points, while UMBC's scored just seven.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Delaware State is 1-6 so far this season. It has yet to win a game at home in Memorial Hall.
Three players, Tasia Bristow, Deanna Harmon and Kianna Conner, lead the Hornets in scoring. They each average 7.1 points per game. Brittany Washington averages 6.9.
Delaware State averages 33.0 rebounds per game. Washington leads the Hornets with 6.4 per contest.
The Terrapins lead the all-time series 1-0. The two teams met for the first time on Nov. 16, 2008. The Terps won 73-46.
ABOUT THE TERPS
Maryland fields one of the youngest rosters in the nation. The Terps are one of seven teams in the country to not have any seniors.
All five members of Maryland's No. 2 recruiting class played in their state's high school championship game and three, Alicia DeVaughn, Laurin Mincy and Alyssa Thomas won their respective titles.
Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang played in the European championships over the summer. She led France to a fourth-place finish in the tournament. She was on her way to being tournament MVP, before suffering an ankle injury.
10 of the 14 Terrapins are over 6'0 tall and eight are over 6'2, making the Terps one of the tallest teams in the country. None of the Terps' 2010-11 opponents have as many players over 6'1.
GLASS CRASHERS
Maryland is one of the strongest rebounding teams in the country.
The Terrapins average 47.7 rebounds a game, which leads the ACC.
They lead the league in rebounding margin (+18.3). They are No. 2 in the country in rebounding margin, second only to Syracuse (+21.3).
Junior Lynetta Kizer and freshman Alicia DeVaughn are tied for No. 11 in the ACC in rebounding with 7.3 per game.

DOUBLE-DOUBLES
In the first 10 games of the season, four Terrapins have double-doubles so far this year.
Junior Lynetta Kizer leads the way with two so far - at No. 13/13 Georgetown (10 points, 16 rebounds) and against Appalachian State (12 points, 10 rebounds). She has 21 in her career.
Freshman Alicia DeVaughn earned her first double-double at No. 13/13 Georgetown with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang earned the first of her career during the East Carolina Thanksgiving Tournament. She scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds against East Carolina.
Sophomore Tianna Hawkins notched her first of the year and eighth in her career Tuesday at Loyola. She had 17 points and 12 rebounds and also grabbed her 300th rebound in that game.
200 FOR FRESE
Frese earned her 200th win at Maryland Nov. 21 vs. American.
Just entering her ninth season in College Park, Frese's record is 206-74. (.736).
TERPS IN THE POLLS
