COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The 22nd-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will head to Loyola (Md.) in Baltimore Tuesday night. The Terrapins (7-1) and the Greyhounds are set to tip off at 7 p.m. in Reitz Arena.
The Terps own the all-time series over Loyola 16-3 and have won the last 10 straight meetings. Most recently, the two teams met Dec. 6, 2009 in College Park. Maryland won 69-56.
The Terrapins are coming off of an 81-65 win over Appalachian State Sunday in College Park. Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang led all scorers with 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field. She was also 5-fot-7 from the free throw line.
Junior Lynetta Kizer notched her 21st career double-double and second of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Alyssa Thomas scored 13 points and freshman Alicia DeVaughn grabbed 13 boards.
Tuesday's game will be broadcast live on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network and can be heard on ESPN 980 (Washington) and ESPN 1300 (Baltimore). The game will be shown online at Greyhounds All Access. General admission tickets to the game are $5.
After Tuesday's game, Maryland will play host to UMBC Friday at 7 p.m. in Comcast Center. Friday's game will be broadcast live on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, as well as TerpsTV Premium.

Maryland beat Appalachian State 81-65 Sunday in College Park for its sixth straight win.
Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang led the Terrapins with 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and 5-for-7 shooting from the foul line. She also grabbed seven boards, dished two assists, and had a block.
Freshman Alyssa Thomas scored 13 points in the first half on 6-for-9 shooting from the field.
Junior Lynetta Kizer notched her second double-double of the year and 21st of her career with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Alicia DeVaughn grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
The Terrapins outrebounded the Mountaineers 50-37 and grabbed 20 offensive rebounds to Appalachian State's 13. The Terps scored 22 second chance points to the Mountaineers' nine.
Maryland won the battle inside, outscoring Appalachian State in the paint 54-18.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola is 2-5 overall this season and 1-2 at home in Reitz Arena.
The Greyhounds have pulled out two close wins in their last two games. They beat Bucknell 59-55 Wednesday in Baltimore and won at Navy 57-54 Friday.
Loyola is led in scoring by Miriam McKenzie, who averages 12.4 points per game.
The Greyhounds average 33.7 rebounds per game.
The Terrapins lead the all-time series 16-3. Most recently, they won 69-56 in College Park on Dec. 6, 2009. Maryland has won the last 10 straight meetings.
ABOUT THE TERPS
Maryland fields one of the youngest rosters in the nation. The Terps are one of seven teams in the country to not have any seniors.
All five members of Maryland's No. 2 recruiting class played in their state's high school championship game and three, Alicia DeVaughn, Laurin Mincy and Alyssa Thomas won their respective titles.
Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang played in the European championships over the summer. She led France to a fourth-place finish in the tournament. She was on her way to being tournament MVP, before suffering an ankle injury.
10 of the 14 Terrapins are over 6'0 tall and eight are over 6'2, making the Terps one of the tallest teams in the country. None of the Terps' 2010-11 opponents have as many players over 6'1.
GLASS CRASHERS
Maryland is one of the strongest rebounding teams in the league.
The Terrapins average 49.1 rebounds a game, which is second in the ACC.
They lead the league in rebounding margin (+18.1). They are No. 2 in the country in rebounding margin, second only to Syracuse (+20.0) and are tied with Connecticut.
Freshman Alicia DeVaughn is tied for No. 10 in the league in rebounding with an average of 8.1 per game. Junior Lynetta Kizer is No. 12 with 7.9 per contest.

Brenda Frese earned her 200th win at Maryland Nov. 21 vs. American.
Just entering her ninth season in College Park, Frese's record is 204-74. (.734).

Maryland is ranked No. 22 in the latest Associated Press poll and is receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Terps began the season ranked 21st in the Associated Press poll. They have started the season ranked in each of the last seven seasons.
Maryland was also ranked No. 10 in the preseason Athlon Sports poll.
TOUGH PLACE TO PLAY
Comcast Center was recently named one of the country's top ten toughest places to play. No other ACC school made the top ten.
The Terps have won 83.30 percent of their games in Comcast Center (115-23) since it opened in 2002.
Maryland has led the ACC in attendance since 2007.
