Team Records and Series Notes
• Maryland improves to 20-12 overall, while Iona ends its season at 18-14 overall.

• Head coach Brenda Frese is now 253-102 with a winning percentage of .713. After Sunday's game, she currently stands at 196-72 (.731) at Maryland.

 With Maryland's win Friday night, Brenda Frese secured her sixth consecutive 20-win season – the most in Maryland women's basketball. It is her 10th season with 20 wins.
• Maryland will play the winner of the Drexel/East Carolina on Sunday at Comcast Center. Game time will be announced


Team Game Notes
• Line-up: Dara Taylor,
Lynetta Kizer, Diandra Tchatchouang, Lori Bjork and Kim Rodgers. This lineup is now 5-6 on the year. 

• Key Run: The Terps went on 15-2 run in the first half to take the lead for good. Sparked by freshman Jackie Nared's three with 6:11 left, the Terrapins took the lead 27-24. Freshman Diandra Tchatchouang followed with a layup to continue the run. During that time, Maryland went 8-for-10 from the field. The Terrapins opened the second half on a 15-5 run.
• Five Terps finished in double figures for just the sixth time this season. Sophomore Kim Rodgers and Freshman Tianna Hawkins led with 15 apiece, senior Lori Bjork had 12, freshman Jackie Nared had 11 and sophomore Anjale Barrett had 10.

• Maryland outscored Iona in the paint, 38-20, in second chance points, 17-11, fast break points, 11-5 and in bench points, 38-18.

• The Terps forced Iona into 18 turnovers and capitalized on the miscues with 20 points.

• Maryland outrebounded the Gaels, 52-30.

• The Terrapins were 13-for-25 from outside the arc, their most three-point field goals made in a game all season.

Individual Game Notes

• Sophomore Kim Rodgers had 15 points on her 5-for-6 three-point shooting. Her five three's in a game tied her career high set earlier in the season. She grabbed two boards and dished an assist and had a steal.

  Freshman Tianna Hawkins had her seventh career double-double 15 points and 10 rebounds. She was 7-for-11 from the field, dished an assist, had two blocks and had a steal.

  Freshman Jackie Nared had 11 points on her 4-for-9 shooting from the field and 3-for-7 shooting from outside the arc, which tied her career high. Nared grabbed four boards, had an assist, a steal and a block.

  Senior Lori Bjork registered 12 points on her 3-for-7 shooting from outside the arc and 4-for-7 shooting from the field. She has scored in double-digits in 17 of the last 20 games.  She grabbed four rebounds Friday night.

 •  Sophomore Anjale Barrett had 10 points in her time on the floor. She was 2-for-3 from outside the arc and 4-for-6 overall. She grabbed three rebounds and dished five assists.

  Freshman Dara Taylor contributed five assists, five points, a block and two steals.
