COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland men's soccer team raised $1,500 for Justin's Quest in ticket sales at its spring match against Virginia last Friday.
Combined with a check from TopDrawerSoccer.com, who live streamed the match on its website, Friday's event tallied $2,500 for Justin's Quest, an organization founded by Justin Friedlander and his family. Justin, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor a year ago, and his family have set up Justin's Quest in hopes of raising $250,000 for the National Brain Tumor Society while shooting 40,000 baskets, one for every person diagnosed with a brain tumor this year.
Maryland ultimately won the contest, 1-0, and Players of the Match Hunter Jumper and Doug Rodkey both presented the check from TopDrawerSoccer.com to Justin and his family.
