Junior Zac MacMath and sophomore Ethan White have landed on the 18-man U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team roster for the upcoming Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.
MacMath racked up NSCAA Third Team All-America honors as a sophomore last season, boasting a 0.88 goals against average alongside a career-best 62 saves. White started in all 23 matches as a rookie in a Terrapin backline that allowed only 19 goals in 2009.
One of the most popular youth national trips, the Milk Cup is a prestigious tournament that will provide the U.S. with three international games against China on July 26, Denmark on July 28 and an opponent to be determined in a placement match on July 30.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Zac and Ethan to play against some of the best young talent in the world," head coach Sasho Cirovski said. "We know they will represent the U.S. and the University of Maryland with pride while in Northern Ireland."
The team will participate in opening ceremonies in Belfast before the opening games begin on July 26. Other participating teams at this year's Milk Cup include Mexico, Northern Ireland and Japan.
