COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland and West Virginia University will continue their football rivalry until at least 2017 as the schools recently agreed to extend the series.
The teams are scheduled to meet each of the next four years and will now play another four seasons. The upcoming series is as follows:
Maryland and West Virginia have met 46 times (WVU leads 23-21-2), including each season from 1980 to 2007.
After a two-year hiatus (2008-09) in the series, the schools agreed to a pair of home-and-home tilts (2010-11) and then tacked on two more years (2012-13) in 2009.
The Terps and 21st-ranked Mountaineers meet Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, WVa. Kickoff is set for noon and the game will be telecast on ESPNU.
