COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland and the University of Texas have agreed to a two-year home-and-home football series.
Maryland will travel to Austin, Texas, on Sept. 2, 2017 for a game with the Longhorns. Texas will make the return trip to Maryland on Sept. 1, 2018. That game will be played at FedExField in Landover, Md., home of the Washington Redskins.
Both games will be season openers.
Texas has won all three previous meetings, though the teams have not met since the 1978 Sun Bowl.
