
O'Brien Named a Freshman All-American

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Danny O'Brien was named to 10th annual Freshman All-America Team Monday by Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) at its awards breakfast.
O'Brien ended the year with 2,438 passing yards which is seventh in ACC history among freshmen and 10th on the Maryland single-season list. His 22 TD passes are second on the Terrapin single-season chart.
He was also voted the top rookie in the Atlantic Coast Conference by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).

Terps in Final Polls: The Maryland Terrapins (9-4) finished 23rd in the final Associated Press poll and 24th in the USA Today Coaches poll. Both were released Tuesday. It marked the first time since 2003 (17th in AP/20th USA Today) that the Terps ended the year ranked.
