COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's basketball team held its first practice of the year Tuesday afternoon. Due to a new NCAA rule, teams can practice based off of their first game date.

Fans can come see this year's Terps for the first time next Friday, Oct. 14, at the Maryland Madness event at 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is free. See both the men's and women's basketball teams introduced and each scrimmage.

The Terrapins are picked No. 11 in the Sporting News and No. 13 in the Athlon Sports preseason polls.

The Terps went 24-8 overall and finished fourth in the ACC. They advanced to the NCAA Second Round.
