COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland Director of Intercollegiate Golf Jason Rodenhaver announced the signing of Tom Harris on Monday to the 2012 class. Harris, a native of Isle of Man, England, is one of the top-rated junior players in England.
"Tom brings a wealth of international experience," said Rodenhaver. "He's won at every level and is a member of Britain's Men's A Squad. He's the impact player we have been looking for."
After capturing the prestigious 2011 under-18 Fairhaven International Trophy, Harris was selected by the English Golf Union (EGU) to participate on the England A Squad for the 2011-12 season.
Harris is currently ranked 12th on the EGU's Boys Order of Merit, which ranks British golfers based on tournament results, and is the top-rated player on the Isle of Man Order of Merit.
