Game Notes vs. Loyola

The No. 10 Maryland women's basketball team will open its regular season Friday with a 7 p.m. game vs. local opponent Loyola (Md.) at the Comcast Center.
For tickets, log on to the Terrapin Ticket Office online at umterps.com or call 1-800-IM-A-TERP. Parking is free and open in the lots surrounding the Comcast Center.
The Terps-Greyhounds game will be shown live on TerpsTV Premium, which is a subscription-based service that offers premium audio and video content. The service is available for an annual price of $79.95 or a monthly fee of $9.95.
The game can also be heard live on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network on CBS Radio, ESPN 980 (DC), WWXT 92.7 FM and WWXX 94.3 FM.
The Terrapins rolled past Holy Family, 94-36, Sunday night in their final tune up before the regular season begins later this week. Alyssa Thomas led all scorers with 23 points, including 19 in the first half, in the exhibition victory and freshman Brene Moseley notched 16. Alicia DeVaughn added 14 points and 14 boards and Tianna Hawkins had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Laurin Mincy added 10 points.
The Greyhounds are coming off of a 21-13 season last year and went to the WNIT Second Round. The Terrapins beat Loyola, 79-61, last season in Baltimore behind Tianna Hawkins' 17 points and 12 rebounds.
The Terrapins are ranked tenth in the USA Today/ESPN Division I Top 25 Preseason Coaches' poll, released Tuesday, and are No. 11 in the Associated Press rankings.
Next, the Terps will welcome No. 11 Georgetown to College Park for a 2 p.m. game Sunday. It will be broadcast on TerpsTV Premium as well and tickets are still available.
