COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 16 Maryland women's basketball team will head to No. 15 Florida State for a top 20 Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Sunday. The Terps and the Seminoles will tip at 3 p.m. in the Tucker Center.

Sunday's game will be shown on ESPN 2. Holly Rowe and LaChina Robinson will be the talent.

Maryland (21-5, 7-4 ACC) is coming off of 69-47 win over No. 7 Duke Thursday in College Park. The 22-point win was the Terrapins' largest margin of victory over the Blue Devils since 1993.

Freshman Alyssa Thomas led the Terrapins with her sixth double-double this season, all in ACC games. She had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Lynetta Kizer had 17 points and has hit double figures in nine of 11 ACC matchups.

Florida State (21-5, 9-2) is coming off of an 82-79 win at Wake Forest Thursday.

The Terps have outrebounded their opponents in 24 of 26 games this year. They lead the ACC and are No. 2 in the country in rebounding margin (+14.3).

  • Junior Lynetta Kizer led with 17 points and nine rebounds, while freshman Alyssa Thomas had 15 points and 10 boards. She has notched six double-doubles this season.
  • The Blue Devils cut the Terps' lead to one with 12:32 remaining in the second half. Back to back layups by Tianna Hawkins, who had 10 points, helped the Terrapins outscore Duke 30-9 the rest of the game.
  • The Terps held the advantage inside, outrebounding the Blue Devils, 42-31. The Terps scored 41 points in the paint to Duke's 24 and had 22 second chance points to Duke's six.

    SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES

  • Florida State is 21-5 overall, 9-2 in the ACC and 10-3 at home this season.
  • The Seminoles have won their last three straight, winning at Virginia, beating Georgia Tech and most recently at Wake Forest.
  • Most recently, Florida State beat Wake Forest 82-79 in Winston-Salem. Cierra Bravard led with 21 points and 15 rebounds and Alexa Deluzio scored 18.
  • Bravard averages 14.4 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.
  • Maryland owns the all-time series, 23-13. Florida State won 94-61 last year in College Park.

    ABOUT THE TERPS

  • Maryland fields one of the youngest rosters in the nation. The Terps are one of seven teams in the country to not have any seniors.
  • All five members of Maryland's No. 2 recruiting class played in their state's high school championship game and three, Alicia DeVaughn, Laurin Mincy and Alyssa Thomas won their respective titles.
  • Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang played in the European championships over the summer. She led France to a fourth-place finish in the tournament. She was on her way to being tournament MVP, before suffering an ankle injury.
  • 10 of the 14 Terrapins are over 6'0 tall and eight are over 6'2, making the Terps one of the tallest teams in the country. None of the Terps' 2010-11 opponents have as many players over 6'1.

    GLASS CRASHERS

  • The Terps lead the ACC and are No. 2 in the country in rebounding margin (+14.3).
  • Three Terps are in the top 20 in the ACC in rebounding. Lynetta Kizer is No. 8 (7.7) and freshman Alyssa Thomas is No. 11 (7.2). Alicia DeVaughn is No. 19 (5.9 rpg).
  • Thomas is No. 3 the ACC in rebounding in conference games (8.7). She and Kizer both lead in offensive rebounding (3.9) and (3.7) in league games. Thomas leads all freshmen in rebounding.
  • As a team, the Terps lead the league in defensive rebounding percent (.705) and offensive rebounding percent (47.5). They average 18.7 offensive boards per game.
  • The Terrapins have won the battle on the boards in 24 of 26 games. They have grabbed 1217 rebounds to their opponent's 844.

    ALL HANDS ON DECK

  • Nine Terrapins are averaging over 14.0 minutes per game.
  • The Terrapins have had six different starting lineups through 26 games this season.
  • Maryland's bench averages 25.1 points per game to their opponents' 17.8. The Terrapins' bench has outscored its opponents' bench in 18 of the 26 games this season.

    TEAM TYLER

  • In September, Coach Frese's two-year old son, Tyler Thomas, was diagnosed leukemia.
  • To help with leukemia awareness, a group of former Maryland players from the 2006 national championship team, including Marissa Coleman, Shay Doron, Laura Harper and Kristi Toliver, are starting a foundation called Team Tyler.
  • Some of the Terps' opponents this year, including the coaches from Purdue, the SAC from Loyola, the coaches at UMBC and Duke, as well as Georgia Tech, have made contributions to Team Tyler.
  • The Terrapins will be wearing green ribbons on their warmup shirts this season in honor of leukemia awareness.
