COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Head coach Sasho Cirovski will receive honorary membership in the Sigma Circle of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society at an initiation ceremony Sunday.
ODK is one of the most prestigious honor societies on Maryland's campus. Omicron Delta Kappa seeks to recognize and encourage achievement in five areas of the campus community: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social, religious activities and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; and the creative and performing arts.
Cirovski, who has been at the helm of Maryland's prominent men's soccer program since 1993, will be formally initiated during a ceremony Sunday from 4-5 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel.
"It is truly a wonderful honor to be recognized by such a well-respected society as an individual helping mold the leaders of the future," Cirovski said. "I am both humbled and thrilled that ODK is recognizing my work during my time here at Maryland. Motivating our young men to become better leaders on-and-off the field is something I take great pride in."
Upon induction, Cirovski's name will be engraved along with other members of the Sigma Circle on the ODK Fountain on the McKeldin Mall in the center of campus.
