COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland men's soccer team welcomes the D.C. United reserve squad and Virginia for a tri-match Sunday. The contest, originally slated to take place at the RFK Auxiliary Fields, will now be held at Ludwig Field.
Maryland dropped defending national champion Akron, 3-1, on the road in its last spring outing Saturday. Patrick Mullins, Matt Oduaran and John Stertzer all netted goals for the Terps.
Fans will get their only taste of Terrapin men's soccer at Ludwig this spring at Sunday's three-team event in College Park. Virginia and D.C. United kick off the day with a noon match before Maryland battles D.C. United and Virginia at 1 and 2 p.m., respectively.
"We are thrilled to host this Sunday's action with the D.C. United reserves and an always-respected rival Virginia," head coach Sasho Cirovski said. "This is a great opportunity for our fans to come out and watch a preview of things to come this fall."
D.C. United currently has three former Terps on its roster including Marc Burch, Stephen King and Ethan White.
Admission to Sunday's games is free.
